Not your average role…. This role is an exciting opportunity to work within our industry ensuring a high standard of customer service to our travelling customers. The role also has responsibility for carrying out train dispatch ensuring services depart at the scheduled time. Provision of accurate information to our customers when required. Please note that due to the volume of interest received these vacancies could close prior to the published date. Hours of work: 35-hour week. Flexibility is essential to meet shift requirements as varied turns of duty involved including weekend working. The relief post will have a contractual commitment to work, when required by the company up to a maximum of 13 Sundays per calendar year. Reference salary £29,771 per annum, Training salary £22,147 per annum. Selection Process Selection process: Candidates short-listed will be invited to attend an assessment centre. Following assessment successful candidates will be invited to attend a competency-based interview. The final stage for successful candidates will be a medical examination and drug & alcohol screening. Appointees must submit at least two satisfactory references, Disclosure Scotland clearance and complete a six-month probation period. Training initially involves a 2-day virtual induction Training Programme. Medical Fitness: Due to the nature of the post and rail industry safety requirements there are certain medical & fitness standards that you would require to meet.
