Job Description
REVENUE MANAGER (TEMPORARY 12 MONTHS)

Working with the Head of Commercial Revenue and across various ScotRail functions, the post holder will lead the measurement, planning, and delivery of ScotRail’s Passenger Revenue Budget and quarterly forecasts.
Ability to enumerate changes to service delivery, the product offered, and the price charged, and working cross-functionally with relevant directorates, will identify, recommend and support the delivery of actions to maximise revenue.
Key responsibilities:
* Lead the creation and delivery of annual Passenger Revenue Budget and subsequent quarterly forecasts.
* Sign-off on assumptions and inputs to the core revenue model, working in collaboration with key stakeholders responsible for revenue drivers.
* Maintain Record of Assumptions document for Passenger Revenue Budget and forecasts.
* Monitor and review revenue performance against targets, identifying challenges, trends and opportunities.
* Clearly communicate findings to stakeholders to allow for corrective/proactive actions to grow revenue.
* Produce timely and accurate Commercial Revenue Reports to be shared across the business.
* Support the development of revenue generating activities, such as marketing, customer experience initiatives, revenue protection, and timetable improvements.
* Provide revenue analysis/modelling to support business cases and revenue claims as required.
* Draw from work across colleagues in the Commercial Revenue team in the identification and consideration of external economic, demographic and social dynamics and competitive influences on the services. Identify actions to ameliorate risks or maximise opportunities.
* Complete rail industry system updates/checks relating to revenue allocations.
* Represent ScotRail at revenue-related industry forums/conferences.

* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Effective communication both verbally and in writing.
* Commercial acumen and a good understanding of consumer markets in general, preferably within a transport or similar industry.
* Good knowledge of Excel and Power BI, with ability to create analytical tools/models.
* Able to lead data analysis and turn evidence into action through using information effectively.
* Hours of work: 35-hour week, Monday – Friday.
