Branch Supervisor
At Scotmid Co-operative, we are focused on serving our local communities and improving people’s everyday lives through our different businesses. We’re a co-operative, which means that we are run by our members for the benefit of the local communities that we serve. Scotmid food’s aim is to be Scotland’s preferred community convenience retailer and a key factor in achieving this is through our people.
Responsibilities
- Share responsibility for a number of key areas throughout the store and deputise for the Store Manager and Senior Team Leader in their absence.
- Be a key-holder, often opening or closing the store, and ensure store standards are second to none and that the store is safe and legal.
- Motivate the customer service team to provide a professional, friendly and enthusiastic service at all times, leading by example on food preparation and service, food safety, stock management and customer service.
Qualifications and Requirements
- While previous supervisory experience in retail, particularly in grocery or food to go, would be an advantage, we are looking to hear from anyone with great customer service and team working skills.
- We are passionate about supporting, challenging and developing people to be the best they can, and we offer a comprehensive induction and training program to quickly get you up to speed with our business.
- To ensure that we comply with alcohol licensing legislation applicants must be aged 18 or over.
