About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Engineer Level 2 to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support and service to our clients in the field. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the optimal performance of our equipment and systems, addressing any issues that arise, and delivering solutions that meet our customers' needs. This position requires a proactive approach, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills. Working a 4-day week and a weekend call-out rota (1 in 4). The person can be based anywhere between Manchester and Carlisle as we cover most of the UK.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site installation, maintenance, and repairs of equipment and systems.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored service.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, including reports on repairs and maintenance performed.
- Provide training to clients on the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while performing duties.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to enhance service delivery.
- Chemical handling, COSHH understanding.
Qualifications
N/SVQ or equivalent experience in plumbing/heating operations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or Plumber role is preferred.
- Strong technical background with knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems in the water treatment sector is desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- A valid driving licence is essential for travel to client sites.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours as needed to meet client demands.
- Self-motivated with strong ethical and working principles.
Preferred Skills
Experience in the water treatment sector.
Pay range and compensation package
