About the jobSAC Consulting is seeking an Agricultural Consultant to join our Inverness team on a full-time permanent basis. You will join a team of consultants delivering advice to farmers and land managers in the allocated area. The successful candidate will need to be versatile and be willing to be involved in a range of Consultancy services.We are seeking candidates with significant potential for growth. Successful applicants will be appointed as a trainee, with the opportunity to develop into a full Consultant role following a comprehensive training period. For more details, please refer to the Job Particulars document.Key Responsibilitiesproviding technical and business consultancy services to farmers and landowners in the Inverness areaworking as a team to motivate, support and develop each other as a team, building strong relationships with the farming and local community, suppliers, and industry bodiesbuilding trust and rapport with colleagues and customersbeing initiative-taking and engaged with the development of wider SAC services, working with your regional consulting and academic colleaguesexecution of project work funded both internally and externallyrepresenting SAC Consulting and SRUC professionally at meetings, events, and farming groupscreating a work climate that encourages innovative ideas and solutions for customersidentifying and developing business opportunities.Minimum qualifications and experience:Significant practical post graduate experience in agriculture is requiredqualification in Agriculture or another relevant discipline. SCQF Level 8. BASIS, FACTS, and FBAAS would be desirable qualificationsCompetent user of Microsoft software including Windows, Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelProven effective written and verbal communication skillsFull driving licence and own transportAbility to travel away from home base when requiredFlexibility in the range of work undertakenEligibility for Sponsorship:This role is not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route.
