Purpose

Contributes to the overall success of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Europe function by providing oversight and analytical support across non‑financial risk management (including reputational risk), with a primary focus on risk control, governance and policy management.

The incumbent will also provide support in other areas of non‑financial risk management as required.

Accountabilities

The primary responsibilities include

  • Producing and coordinating the EXCO/CRO reporting including RAF metrics update, Strategic risk dashboard (UK), reputational risk dashboard, Top and Emerging risk dashboard.
  • Producing and coordinating reports to the Risk committee and Board and to regulators.
  • Producing the GRM Control & Governance report.
  • Conducting horizon‑scan for GRM, liaising with risk SMEs for impact assessment and reporting to ERCG.
  • Supporting the Risk assurance team on ad‑hoc projects or deliverables as required.
  • Supporting and collaborating with other members of the ERM team as required.
  • Building and managing relationships with key all‑bank Global and GBM Risk Management stakeholders.
  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day‑to‑day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day‑to‑day business controls meet internal and regulatory obligations with respect to risk areas covered by the team.
  • Contributes to a high‑performance environment and fosters an inclusive work environment, supporting the vision/values/business strategy for the team.
  • Dimensions

This role supports Enterprise Risk Management, covering a broad range of non‑financial risk oversight activities across the European regulated entities and branch operations.

The role operates within a complex regulatory and governance environment involving engagement with senior management, Risk Committees, Board Committees, and regulatory stakeholders across Ireland, the UK and Europe.

The incumbent is responsible for coordinating and delivering risk reporting and governance activities spanning key enterprise risk areas, including top and emerging risks, reputational risk, regulatory change, and risk governance and may be required to support operational risk, model risk and recovery planning.

The role requires extensive cross‑functional engagement with Global and GBM Risk Management, business lines, control functions, and enterprise stakeholders to support effective risk oversight, challenge, and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

Education / Experience

  • University Degree/MBA experience in a capital markets environment, preferably in a Risk Management or a first line control role.
  • Understanding of a Markets environment, demands of stakeholders in this environment and related products (securities and derivatives).
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Possess strong communication (verbal and written), listening, presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Is proactive and able to take initiative.
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables.
