Ensures all activities are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations, internal policies and procedures.

In this role, you will:

  • Foster a customer-focused culture by building strong client relationships and making effective use of the Bank’s relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Assist the Director, Compliance Assurance, Europe, with delivery of the UK and Ireland Monitoring and Testing programme.
  • Apply the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture when carrying out day-to-day activities and making decisions.
  • Support effective and efficient operations by helping ensure assigned business controls are adequate, followed and effective in meeting regulatory compliance, conduct and business conduct obligations.
  • Help maintain a high-performing and inclusive work environment.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Degree educated or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant experience in compliance, audit or regulatory testing within a financial institution.
  • Working knowledge of securities and banking rules, regulations, by-laws, policies and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of UK and European GBM&T businesses, regulatory principles and products.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders at mid to senior management level, including business and third-party stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of the firm’s business practices, organisational structure, policies and procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across global stakeholders.
  • Good project management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and meet demanding deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide high-quality service and maintain effective relationships with assigned client groups and team members.
  • Able to identify and handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Self-motivated and confident, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong planning, organisational and time-management skills.
  • Results-oriented with a strong delivery focus.
