The Director & Head, Global RFP / Proposals will lead the strategic and operational direction of the bank’s centralized RFP unit. This role manages end-to-end RFP processes across our global footprint and client/business units (Corporate, Commercial, Small Business) to ensure the delivery of tailored, competitive, high-quality proposals compliant with regulations, policies, and procedures. The incumbent is a key member of the GTB Sales leadership team, contributing to profitable growth, enhancing our proposal-driven business development, fostering cross-department collaboration, and driving continuous improvement in RFP practices globally.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and develop a global client-centric culture to deepen relationships and leverage broader bank connections.
- Develop and execute a global RFP management strategy aligned with client retention and growth objectives.
- Lead a cross-functional team responsible for RFP creation, submission, and follow-up, ensuring standards and messaging consistency.
- Coordinate global, regional, and local RFP processes, streamlining workflows and adopting best practices.
- Establish proactive RFP preparation strategies to anticipate key opportunities.
- Improve the effectiveness of RFP, RFI, and large proposal processes.
- Collaborate with business units and subject matter experts to craft compelling proposals.
- Maintain an up-to-date, compliant repository of standard RFP responses.
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders, including GTB Sales, Product, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Marketing, as well as Global Banking and Markets and Commercial Bank teams.
- Set KPIs to measure RFP unit success, such as Win Rates, RFP invitations, Turnaround Times, and Client Feedback.
- Prepare management reports on RFP performance and outcomes, integrating feedback into product development.
- Implement technology solutions like proposal automation and content management systems to enhance RFP efficiency.
- Drive innovation in the RFP process to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance client experience, positioning Scotiabank for success in key proposals.
- Manage daily activities in line with the bank’s risk culture and appetite, promoting awareness within teams.
- Operate in accordance with Scotiabank’s values, conduct policies, and global sales principles, ensuring operational and compliance controls are effective.

What You’ll Bring:
- 7+ years of experience in RFP, RFI process management, content management, and large proposal delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree, MBA, or equivalent qualification.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage and interpret data.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Problem-solving capabilities.
- Spanish or French language skills are an advantage.
- Creative problem-solving and process improvement motivation.
