Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Director-level eFX Quant to join our eFX Trading desk within a well-respected international investment bank. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in building and scaling an eFX quant trading business, with a proven track record in market-making, pricing, risk management, and execution optimization in the electronic foreign exchange space. This role requires strong quantitative, technical, and strategic capabilities to drive revenue growth and enhance the bank's eFX trading franchise.
What You'll Do:
- Build and enhance the eFX quant trading business, developing cutting-edge models for pricing, risk management, and market-making.
- Develop and optimize high-frequency pricing engines and liquidity strategies to improve execution quality and profitability.
- Collaborate closely with eFX traders, technology teams to drive automation and efficiency in pricing and hedging strategies.
- Design, implement, and improve algorithmic execution strategies for spot FX, Forwards, and swaps.
- Utilize machine learning and statistical techniques to optimize execution, reduce slippage, and improve fill ratios.
- Engage with senior FX leaders to define and execute a long-term strategy for eFX quantitative trading.
- Lead the development of robust transaction cost analysis (TCA) frameworks to optimize trading performance.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices in electronic FX trading.
What You'll Bring:
- Advanced degree (PhD or Master's) in a STEM field (Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Quantitative Finance, or a related discipline).
- Experience in eFX quantitative research, trading, or technology at a top-tier investment bank, hedge fund, or proprietary trading firm.
- Deep understanding of eFX market structure, liquidity dynamics, and electronic trading workflows.
- Expertise in building eFX pricing and risk models, with a strong grasp of bid-offer spread optimization, skewing techniques, and market impact models.
- Proficiency in C++, Java, Python, or KDB+/q for developing real-time pricing and trading infrastructure.
- Experience working with low-latency execution strategies and high-frequency trading architectures.
- Strong background in statistical modeling, machine learning, and signal generation for systematic trading.
- Ability to drive business growth, scale eFX platforms, and work collaboratively with trading and technology teams.
- Deep understanding of regulatory considerations (e.g., MiFID II, FX Global Code).
Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on experience with connectivity to ECNs, liquidity providers, and internalization engines.
- Strong relationships with key industry participants, including ECNs, banks, and market-makers.
