About this Programme
Scotiabanks UpLIFTED Women in Finance Development programme is a selective four‑month programme designed for female‑identifying first‑year students (or second‑years on a four‑year degree) who have an interest in finance. The programme provides exposure, insights and opportunities to learn about finance from experienced professionals and focuses on upskilling students on and increasing knowledge of our Global Capital Markets and Corporate Banking business lines.
The development programme will run from the beginning of January 2026 to the end of April 2026. Participants will be assigned a mentor, have access to targeted workshops to help prepare for a career in finance and will have the opportunity to participate in candid discussions about what it means to be a woman in finance.

Eligibility and Requirements
- Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in the UK in any discipline
- Be a current first‑year student on a three‑year degree or second‑year student on a four‑year degree
- Self‑identify as a woman
- Have a demonstrated passion for and interest in learning about capital markets, corporate banking and finance
- Be able to attend regular mentor meetings and programme workshops for the duration of the 4‑month programme (Jan – April 2026)
