We are recruiting an Operations Manager in distribution for a client based in Fife.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Distribution Operations Manager with an exposure to Sales. This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day distribution operations while driving sales performance across key accounts. The ideal candidate will have a passion for logistics and supply chain management, along with a proven track record in sales growth and customer relationship management.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage daily distribution centre operations, including warehousing, inventory management, and order fulfilment.
- Develop and implement efficient logistics processes to ensure timely delivery and optimal inventory levels.
- Collaborate with sales teams to drive business development, grow key accounts, and achieve sales targets.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to both distribution and sales, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure product availability and maintain strong relationships.
- Lead, motivate, and develop distribution and sales teams to achieve operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and industry regulations.
- Manage budgets and cost control measures to optimize profitability.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and sales growth initiatives.
- 5+ years of experience in distribution, logistics, or operations management, with a focus on sales.
- Proven success in sales management, including experience in negotiating contracts and managing customer relationships.
- Strong understanding of supply chain and inventory management processes.
