Reporting into the Head of Occupational Health, you'll be responsible for driving excellence in governance, compliance, performance management and assurance. This role will suit someone who enjoys working with complex data, governance frameworks, audits, risk management and stakeholder engagement and is looking to apply those skills in a people-focused healthcare environment.
Here’s how you will contribute…
- Leading the governance and assurance framework across SGN’s Occupational Health function
- Managing clinical governance processes, audits, compliance reviews and assurance activities
- Developing and monitoring key performance indicators, service metrics and reporting dashboards
- Ensuring compliance with occupational health legislation, GDPR requirements and internal governance standards
- Maintaining oversight of occupational health risks, controls and mitigation plans
- Leading investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action planning where required
- Managing occupational health policies, procedures and governance documentation
- Working with service providers and internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in service quality and performance
- Producing reports and governance updates for senior leadership forums
- Supporting strategic planning and development of occupational health services through robust performance analysis and business insight
What you will need:

- Experience of governance, audit, risk management or compliance frameworks
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends and opportunities
- Experience developing performance reporting, KPIs and management information
- Knowledge of data protection and information governance requirements
- The ability to influence and engage a wide range of stakeholders
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills
- Experience managing improvement initiatives and driving organisational change
- A proactive and collaborative approach with strong attention to detail
- Experience working within an occupational health or healthcare setting and knowledge of clinical governance frameworks and assurance processes
- Experience within a highly regulated industry such as utilities, energy, infrastructure, transport or healthcare is desirable
This is an exciting opportunity for a governance, assurance, risk, compliance or performance management professional to apply their expertise in a specialist healthcare environment. Whilst experience within occupational health or clinical services would be beneficial, we're equally keen to hear from candidates who have developed strong governance and performance credentials in other regulated sectors.
