Overview
In this role you will oversee SGN’s networking infrastructure to keep offices, remote workers, cloud datacentres and phone systems connected securely. You will work with the Network, Cloud & Comms teams on BAU activities, changes and documentation, while continuously learning SGN’s infrastructure to SME level. You’ll act as an advisory resource for internal customers and help troubleshoot incidents to maintain uptime. This is a hands-on role that supports SGN’s mission to deliver safe, reliable energy and enable a net-zero transition. You’ll join a proactive, collaborative team that values rapid problem solving and cross-functional impact.

Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor and fine tune alerting systems in SGN Cloud to reduce false positives and streamline alerts
- Collaborate with Network, Cloud & Comms teams on BAU, project changes and documentation
- Learn SGN infrastructure (Cloud and Physical) to SME level
- Provide support and cover as needed within the team
- Act as an advisory consultant in selected key fields to internal customers
- Assist in troubleshooting infrastructure services during incidents
- Assist operations teams in understanding SGN’s infrastructure
Key requirements
- Experience configuring enterprise monitoring (e.g., CloudWatch, LogicMonitor)
- Strong background in corporate enterprise infrastructure
- Experience with Firewalls, Cloud technologies and Enterprise networks
- Team-based work style with IT infrastructure project delivery
