My Client is a Global Bank based in London; they are looking for multiple contract Operational Resilience Leads (Technology Third Party) / ITSM Resilience SMEs. We need contractors that are skilled in Third Party Operational Resilience and IT Service Management (ITSM). In this role, you’ll help strengthen resilience across third-party services, support the implementation of key technology controls, and play a central role in shaping a growing function. You’ll also build strong relationships across third-party management and wider business and technology teams to deliver high-quality service.
Based in Sheffield, 3 days a week. 6 month contract. Rate ranges from £750-£1000 per day.
Two core areas:
- Operational resilience work (vulnerability assessments, third-party mapping, importance determination)
- IT controls work (IT accreditations, ITIL background, assessments of third-party supplier landscapes)
Key skills:
- Strong Operational resilience and ITSM experience within the Banking / Financial Services industry.
- Proven SME with the ability to lead, influence, and align complex stakeholder groups to deliver resilient outcomes.
- Strong experience in supplier/vendor management and end-to-end third-party management processes.
- Solid understanding of regulatory requirements in financial services, including key operational resilience and outsourcing frameworks (e.g. PRA, DORA, EBA, HKMA).
- In-depth knowledge of third-party risk management, including subcontracting and key risk areas such as cybersecurity, business continuity, and data risk.
- Experienced in IT Service Management (ITIL), technology resilience, and operating effectively within risk and control environments; relevant certifications are a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee mapping and classification of technology third parties and their links to key services and operations, ensuring accurate data and usage.
- Lead third-party operational resilience assessments, including data analysis, vulnerability identification, and stakeholder support.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders and act as the main contact for operational resilience queries related to technology suppliers.
- Ensure quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and accurate reporting across processes, including handling regulatory and ad-hoc requests.
- Drive resilience improvements through continuity planning, testing, and advising on ITSM resilience controls, including supplier engagement and gap remediation.
