Overview

Business Analyst – Bonds, Fixed Income, Capital Markets

Working with a leading software technology Solutions company (FinTech) which designs, builds and operates technology solutions for the global capital markets. The Business Analyst will have strong analytical and communication skills, with solid business knowledge. Acting as the system SME, they will gather and document requirements, analyse workflows, and collaborate with stakeholders to identify improvements and deliver effective solutions.

Paying £90,000 – £110,000 + benefits. Hybrid working in the London office.

Responsibilities

  • Document project scope, business requirements, and process workflows.
  • Design effective solutions and user stories aligned with business needs.
  • Collaborate with technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Create and execute test plans to verify system functionality.
  • Present analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic insights to support decision-making and long-term planning.
  • Analyse data to identify trends, opportunities, and performance gaps.
  • Develop KPI reporting tools and maintain data dashboards.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Support agile project delivery, adapting to shifting priorities and timelines.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of financial products – Bonds, Fixed Income, Capital Markets
  • Strong experience in documenting business requirements and specifications.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum; Product Owner experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of UML, BPMN, and data modelling is advantageous.
  • Excellent documentation and analytical skills.
  • Self-driven with strong critical thinking.
  • Experience collaborating with globally distributed teams.
