An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical CAD Designer to join a leading engineering team supporting a high-profile platform management project. This role is integral to delivering cutting-edge electrical designs and drawings as part of a mission-critical initiative, supporting innovative engineering solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Support the creation and management of Bills of Materials (BOM).
  • Provide technical support to the Electrical Design Engineering team.
  • Develop component libraries for schematic support.
  • Review electrical schematics to ensure compliance with relevant standards and internal CAD processes.
  • Maintain and update documents and drawings throughout development and production changes.
  • Support other engineering functions, particularly from a mechanical drawing perspective.
  • Manage configuration control throughout the full project lifecycle.
  • Raise and action Change Notes (CN).

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in Electrical CAD with proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or similar software.
  • In-depth understanding of relevant industry standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in handling complex projects under pressure.
  • Must be able to gain and maintain UK Government security clearance (SC).
