An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical CAD Designer to join a leading engineering team supporting a high-profile platform management project. This role is integral to delivering cutting-edge electrical designs and drawings as part of a mission-critical initiative, supporting innovative engineering solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Produce electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Support the creation and management of Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Provide technical support to the Electrical Design Engineering team.
- Develop component libraries for schematic support.
- Review electrical schematics to ensure compliance with relevant standards and internal CAD processes.
- Maintain and update documents and drawings throughout development and production changes.
- Support other engineering functions, particularly from a mechanical drawing perspective.
- Manage configuration control throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Raise and action Change Notes (CN).
Requirements:
- Strong experience in Electrical CAD with proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or similar software.
- In-depth understanding of relevant industry standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in handling complex projects under pressure.
- Must be able to gain and maintain UK Government security clearance (SC).
