Are you an experienced Delivery Lead, Project Manager or Technical Delivery professional looking for an opportunity to work on challenging projects within Defence and National Security?

We're working with a growing technology organisation that is looking for talented Delivery Leads to join its team in Cheltenham.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of projects, build high-performing teams and work closely with customers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software.

The organisation puts its people at the centre of the business, creating an environment where Delivery Leads have the autonomy to make an impact and where successful teams and satisfied customers are the priority.

The Role

As a Delivery Lead, you'll be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered effectively while creating an environment where engineering teams can do their best work.

You'll work across delivery, customers and technical teams, helping to maintain focus, manage priorities and ensure successful outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and supporting high-performing delivery teams
  • Keeping teams focused on delivering high-quality software
  • Managing projects to ensure delivery is on time and within budget
  • Identifying, tracking and managing project risks
  • Building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
  • Owning the resolution of customer issues and ensuring positive outcomes
  • Eliciting and understanding customer requirements
  • Supporting prioritisation of features and deliverables
  • Communicating project progress and outcomes to senior stakeholders
  • Working closely with technical teams throughout the software development lifecycle

What are we looking for?

We're not expecting you to tick every box.

We're particularly interested in people with experience in software delivery, project management or technical environments, who can communicate effectively with both customers and engineering teams.

You may have experience with:

  • Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies
  • Scrum or other delivery frameworks
  • Software development lifecycles
  • Atlassian tools
  • Excel
  • Requirements gathering and Business Analysis
  • Feature and delivery prioritisation
  • Risk and stakeholder management

Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to build trusted relationships with customers and internal teams.

What’s on Offer?

  • Competitive salary and package
  • Flexible 37.5-hour working week
  • Time off in lieu where appropriate
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • Pension contribution matching up to 7.5%
  • Healthcare package including dental and optical
  • Income protection of up to 75% of salary for up to 5 years
  • Death-in-service benefit of 4x salary
  • AWS/Azure certification support
  • Annual budget for additional training and conferences
  • Opportunity to work on challenging projects within the Defence and National Security sector

Why Consider It?

This is a role for someone who enjoys being at the centre of delivery — bringing together customers, stakeholders and technical teams to make sure projects succeed.

You’ll have the opportunity to develop high-performing teams, influence delivery and work in an organisation where people and customer outcomes are genuinely important.

If you’re an eDV-cleared Delivery Lead or experienced software delivery professional and would be interested in finding out more, I’d be keen to speak with you confidentially.
