Scot JCB are looking for a Trainee Parts Sales Advisor to join our team in Edinburgh. If you are an enthusiastic and motivated individual eager to start a career in the Construction industry then this could be the role for you.
As a Trainee Parts Advisor, you will be an integral part of our team, learning the ins and outs of the parts department. This role is designed for individuals with a positive attitude, a strong willingness to learn, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. You will receive comprehensive training to develop your knowledge of parts and service processes. This is an initial 2-year fixed term contract with excellent progression opportunities. Successful candidates will have the potential to advance to more senior positions within the parts department or other areas of the business.
This role involves:
- Customer Service: Assist customers both in person and over the phone, helping them identify and locate the correct parts for their equipment. Provide professional, friendly, and efficient service at all times.
- Parts Identification: Learn to accurately identify parts required for construction and agricultural machinery, using parts catalogues, schematics, and computer systems.
- Inventory Management: Support the parts team in managing inventory, including receiving, stocking, and organising parts. Assist in regular stock checks and inventory audits.
- Sales Support: Assist in the preparation of quotes, processing of orders, and ensuring prompt delivery of parts to customers. Support the sales team by providing parts information and availability.
- Learning and Development: Engage in ongoing training programs, to continuously expand your knowledge of the products and services we offer. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and product developments.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient operation within the parts department. Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues and sharing knowledge.
- Training and Development: This role provides both hands-on experience under the guidance of experienced team members as well as access to industry-leading technical courses to deepen your knowledge of parts and machinery.
The ideal candidate will have:
