We are looking for a Sales Coordinator to join our dedicated team in Forfar. If you have a background in Agriculture this is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful business and develop your career in the industry.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8.00am - 4.30pm, in our Forfar office.

Who are we? The Scot JCB Group is made up of Scot JCB, Scot Agri and Stewart Plant Sales. Established in June 2021 through the merger of Kelso & Lothian Harvesters and A M Phillip Agritech, Scot Agri is dedicated to serving the agricultural community with top-quality tractors, farm equipment, and comprehensive support through parts and service. Operating across 14 strategically located depots, we provide machinery sales, servicing, and parts for leading brands including JCB, Massey Ferguson, Horsch, Spearhead, Berthoud, and more.

This role involves:

  • Sales & Customer Engagement
    • Answering sales calls and actively prospecting for potential customers and creating demand for our products.
    • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and manufacturer sales representatives.
    • Taking ownership of customer enquiries from start to finish.
    • Responding quickly and professionally to inbound customer enquiries from the Scot Agri website, digital campaigns, and marketing activity.
    • Proactively making outbound calls to progress opportunities and follow up on open enquiries.
    • Identifying opportunities for equipment demonstrations or dealer visits.
    • Booking appointments and qualifying opportunities for the sales team.
    • Maintaining consistent follow-up with customers to avoid missed opportunities.
    • Representing the dealership professionally and consistently reinforcing our products.
    • Providing customer account statements.
    • Supporting the sales team with machine build ups for non JCB products i.e. Horsch, Massey Fergusson, KRM and more.
  • CRM Management
    • Accurately recording all activity, notes, and next actions within the dealer CRM system.
    • Maintaining the Scot Agri used equipment website.
    • Carrying out used machine reports and chasing sales team for O/S reports.
  • Operations & Coordination
    • Organising machinery transport movements and updating our IFS (ERP) system.
    • Processing export paperwork - CMR and sanitation documentation.
    • Liaising with the parts and service departments regarding machines ready for delivery.
    • Liaising with the sales administration team regarding machine movements.
    • Supporting the wider sales team with building machine specifications and researching attachments.
    • Planning and organising events e.g. agricultural shows.
  • Yard & Equipment Responsibilities
    • Moving and handling machines in the yard.
    • Carrying out machine familiarisation training with customers.
    • Learning how to valuate part exchanges.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant experience within the agriculture industry, or an agricultural background.
  • Experience within a sales environment, or an interest in learning about sales.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and work well in a busy team.
  • The ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
  • A good understanding of the importance of excellent customer service.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Attention to detail.
  • The ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Flexible, positive, and outgoing approach to work.
