Scorpius Talent are exclusively recruiting for a leading technology company, specialising in cutting-edge solutions for industrial applications, who are currently seeking a Project Manager to support its continued manufacturing growth.

This role will involve managing and coordinating engineering projects, ensuring the successful delivery of new products that meet both technical and commercial objectives within agreed time frames.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities of the Role:

  • Manage engineering resources in collaboration with the Engineering Manager, working with teams in Surrey and remotely with other business locations.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans.
  • Implement and monitor project controls and metrics, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Coordinate project tasks and support engineering team members to ensure smooth execution.
  • Oversee prototype builds, working closely with the Purchasing Manager and suppliers to optimise material sourcing and fabrication.
  • Identify and manage project risks, ensuring schedules and budgets remain on track.
  • Define and implement corrective actions if projects deviate from plan.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and best practices in project management.

Person Specification:

  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and principles.
  • A recognised project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, APM) is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in creating and maintaining project plans for manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to other sites in the UK.
  • Ideally qualified in engineering to Degree level with a good understanding of engineering principles.
