The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 £ per hour.

We currently have a requirement for a Workshop Technician to work in our accessories department within Gas Turbines.

Responsibilities

  • Overhaul, test and recertification of products allocated to them by their supervisor to the highest possible standard.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions.
  • Overhaul, test and recertification of multiple products within the turbine accessories department.
  • Use of all torque equipment.
  • Provide technical support to all members of the department / team.
  • Ensure all workshop equipment and tooling are maintained regularly and all records are kept up to date.
  • Responsible for the general house-keeping within and surrounding the department.
  • Participate in shift rotas as and when required.
  • Support other workshops where priority dictates.
  • Participate in risk assessments, toolbox talks and the vital system.
  • Adhere to Health, Safety and Quality duties.

Qualifications and Experience

  • SVQ Level 3 in relevant technical discipline (preferred)
  • Completed an engineering apprenticeship (preferred)
  • Demonstrable experience within a mechanical engineering workshop environment.
