We currently have a requirement for a Workshop Technician to work in our accessories department within Gas Turbines.
Responsibilities
- Overhaul, test and recertification of products allocated to them by their supervisor to the highest possible standard.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions.
- Overhaul, test and recertification of multiple products within the turbine accessories department.
- Use of all torque equipment.
- Provide technical support to all members of the department / team.
- Ensure all workshop equipment and tooling are maintained regularly and all records are kept up to date.
- Responsible for the general house-keeping within and surrounding the department.
- Participate in shift rotas as and when required.
- Support other workshops where priority dictates.
- Participate in risk assessments, toolbox talks and the vital system.
- Adhere to Health, Safety and Quality duties.
Qualifications and Experience
- SVQ Level 3 in relevant technical discipline (preferred)
- Completed an engineering apprenticeship (preferred)
- Demonstrable experience within a mechanical engineering workshop environment.
