About the role
Working within our Gas Turbines division, the Production Planner will be responsible for maintaining and updating the production schedule. Firming all work orders for production in a timely manner. Conducting stock and shortage analysis, highlighting challenges to the schedule and on‑time delivery. Data management in D365, ensuring the MRP system is kept accurate and up to date. Participating in Sales and Operation Planning meetings.
Main Roles & Responsibilities
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions.
- Firming and Releasing Work Orders for Production.
- Forecast & Materials management, reviewing & expediting shortages.
- Highlighting Risks to schedule/forecast.
- Participate in Sales & Operations Planning meetings.
- Assist in level loading to meet production deliverables.
- D365 Data Management, including overseeing schedule adherence.
- Drive client/business priorities through production.
- Chairing of the RTL meetings.
- Support during Master Scheduler holidays, leave etc.
- Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

Experience
- Ideally personnel would have manufacturing or scheduling experience.
- Previous experience in a planning function, particularly with respect to manufacturing areas is preferred.
- Previous experience in mass / large batch production planning and scheduling is desirable.
- Previous experience in use of Planning software or Microsoft D365 or a technical manufacturing background would be beneficial but not essential.
- Production Scheduling/Planning experience gained within a manufacturing environment.
- Preference for Microsoft 365 or Planning software advantageous but not essential.
- Understanding of ERP systems & excellent Excel knowledge.
