CNC Machinist

About The Role
Based within the Gas Turbines divison the CNC Operator will operate and edit programs on the CNC Machining Centres and Lathes. On occasion may be required to carry out basic manual machining tasks.
Various shift patterns available to suit operational requirements, including both fixed and rotating shifts. Both fixed day and night shift and bi weekly rotating shift.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for machining of components on a range of CNC Machinery.
- Will select and modify programs from a database and will also write programs when required.
- Ensure QA Cards & associated paperwork is completed correctly.
- Report any plant or equipment damage to Supervisor.
- Advise Supervisor of any damaged tooling or tooling required.
- Be willing to undertake extra training on manual machines.
- Ensuring that correct programs and tooling are selected.
- Reporting any drawing discrepancies to Supervisor.
- Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an Engineering environment
- Mechanical Apprenticeship or equivalent
Experience
- Previous experience in a Machine Shop Environment
- Previous experience operating CNC Machines
