About the role: We are looking for an NDE Technician to join Score’s Gas Turbine NDE team, reporting to the Team leader. The NDE Technician will assist with the day to day running of the NDT department including all aspects of NDE inspection, recording of results and maintenance of equipment. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, have the adaptability to multitask, and excellent attention to detail, then this is the ultimate opportunity for you!
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards, and work instructions.
- Carry out daily systems checks and calibrations on NDT Equipment and ensure records are kept up to date.
- Carry out Radiographic inspection as required on various components and interpret results.
- Carry out Dye Penetrant inspection as required on various components and interpret results.
- Rework unacceptable dye penetrant indications on welds or castings by either removing or reducing to be within an acceptable limit.
- Carry out Positive Material Identification testing as required on various components and interpret results.
- Carry out Hardness Testing as required on various components and interpret results.
- Participate in Research.
