The Valve Technician will be responsible for carrying out overhauls, tests and recertification on different types of valves and actuators. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards, and work instructions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overhaul and recertification of relief valves including conventional, balanced bellows, pilot operated and vacuum types.
- Execution of risk assessments and hazard assessments (Start Cards) on all related work scopes.
- Plan and coordinate any project or shutdown work as and when required.
- Conduct site surveys and produce detailed reports of the equipment in accordance with the client and/or the company’s requirements.
- Responsible for the general housekeeping within and surrounding the department.
Qualifications and skills:
- NVQ Level 3 in relevant technical discipline is preferred.
- Accurate and quality-conscious attitude towards all aspects of the role.
- Strong problem solving and planning skills are essential.
