The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Document Controller to work in our Energy team (Gas Turbines) on a permanent basis. The Document Controller will provide support with drawing and engineering projects produced in association with the process requirements in the manufacture and repair of components via the Engineering Department and Drawing Office. They shall also provide support to the Engineering Department with the completion and validation of FAIRs for new and existing products.
Primary Responsibilities
- Acquire data for the purpose of completing monthly KPI values and identification of departmental failures and non-conformances then tracking and corrective actions as allocated by the Engineering Manager.
- Monitor and register Engineering / TQ / Drawing Office requests and queries sent to the Engineering team.
- Maintain and update Engineering job register and filing system.
- Issue drawings and FAIR documentation as per drawing requests.
- Also issue rework cards & chase up rework card approvals for new rework cards from necessary departments.
- Close and file all completed Engineering jobs.
- Collation and quality control of documentation for the purpose of First Article Inspections.
- Review and update to Proarc with all backlog and new FAIR Projects for Engineering and SAAT Departments.
- Coordinate the administration of projects in compliance with SEL Tollgate procedure and AS9100.
- Administer Document change and distribution.
- Create, register and distribute Technical and in-house Service Bulletins.
- Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
- Assist Quality Technician & compilation of FAIRs (if required) or collating documentation for FAIRs.
- Update FAIR registers / task list in preparation for weekly customer meetings.
- Process Production job cards with hold stamps and investigation tickets as and when required.
- Update FAIR registers / task lists with priorities fed via Planning department.
- Creation of Microsoft documentation required to support the Engineering department.
- Additional work scope may be added upon review to support Engineering department to fulfil business needs.
- Creation of bubble drawings & inspection criteria to support FAIR documentation.
- Creation and amendments of BoMs on D365.
- Ensure Engineering documentation is at latest revision and inform key stakeholders of any revision changes.
Qualifications
- Modern apprenticeship or; NC or HNC Qualification in Administration.
Experience
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft packages is essential.
- Previous experience in a similar role advantageous but not essential.
- Previous experience of ProArc and Qpulse systems advantageous but not essential.
