About the Role
We’re looking for a Contracts Analyst to join the Score team based at our facility in Peterhead.
Supporting the Legal and Contracts Department, the Contracts Analyst will be responsible for carrying out contractual analysis with a view to providing feedback to the business relating to legal and commercial risk. Assisting in negotiations to gain more favourable contractual terms; and drafting various tailored contractual documents from time to time. The Contracts Analyst will report to the Head of Legal.

Responsibilities
- Carrying out contract analysis as well as reviews of general terms and conditions for sale and purchase in order to evaluate contractual risk.
- Providing feedback to colleagues on the analysis carried out and assist, where required, in negotiating contracts in order to gain more favourable contractual terms for the group.
- Attending meetings with customers and suppliers in order to provide contractual guidance.
- Liaise and consult with commercial and finance teams for all relevant matters pertaining to the contractual analysis: tax implications, performance bonds / parent company guarantees, insurance matters.
- Considering business requirements and proposing a contractual solution with a view to drafting an appropriate contractual document, including but not limited to Framework Agreements, Service Contracts, Supply of Goods Contracts and Representation Agreements
- Interpreting existing contractual terms in order to advise business of contractual obligations and/or potential exposures.
- Assist in the development and revision of standard terms and conditions and contractual procedures.
- Assist with preparation, filing and administration of documents and records.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, provided standards and work instructions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Undergraduate degree in relevant discipline
- Minimum three years’ experience working as a Contracts Analyst in a commercial or legal environment.
- Good understanding of practical / technical delivery of oil and gas / energy contracts

- Good communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management to convey necessary information
- Ability to serve as a resource to others in the resolution of problems and issues
