Overview
We are currently looking for Asset Team Leader to join our Maintenance Department within Gas Turbines in Peterhead.
The role will oversee a team of maintenance technicians, who are working on maintaining the plant and machinery throughout the gas turbines facility. They will also implement and manage the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) system.
We are looking for an enthusiastic team leader who is experienced in people management and looking to help develop a team.
Primary responsibilities
- Ensure all work is conducted following company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions.
- Supervisory and Organisation skills including communication, decision making and assertiveness skills in support for Engineering manager.
- Prepare for and take part in production meetings
- Create and maintain the asset integrity system to cover all plant and machinery with the business unit.
- Implement and manage the PPM systems and associated requirements in support of the business.
- Coordinate any third-party repairs and maintenance of fixed plant or equipment.
- Provide support and guidance for all PPM activities
- Sourcing materials from suppliers needed for departmental jobs
- Monitoring and controlling cost of materials and labour on jobs
- Provide Technical support to the business and focal points, as necessary.
- Lead the ongoing development withing the workshop.
- Lead the sourcing and installation of new equipment.
- Provide reports on the efficiency and utilisation of all mainline plant and equipment.
- Mentoring of all levels of technicians within the department in line with the company’s training and competency requirements.
- Maintenance of records, documentation, and work in progress register.
- Any other reasonable duties as needed to meet the needs of the business
Qualifications and Experience
- Electrical HND/HNC qualification or equivalent.
- Completion of an electrical apprenticeship scheme.
- 18th Edition and Compex qualified.
- Experienced in the implementation of CMM’s systems (NetInspect, MaintenanceX, Limble).
- Experience working in a plant maintenance supervision role or equivalent supervisory role.
- Experience working in a plant maintenance role.
