The role will provide the link between Longevity and Finsol teams and Financial Reporting on the various financial aspects of the portfolios, with a particular focus on financial planning and analysis.
The Longevity and Finsol performance analyst will be a key contributor to the SCOR Group’s planning, financial analysis and performance analytics processes, participating to the various deliverables in that context and providing insight and expertise on the Longevity/Finsol specifics and SCOR’s longevity/Finsol portfolios.
In the context of the broader performance analytics framework being developed at the SCOR Group level, he/she will be responsible for proactively maintaining a full set of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across the portfolios to help key stakeholders (Executive committee, Finance, the Life & Health Business unit) understand how the portfolios are performing. The candidate will need to work across teams to ensure data accuracy is maintained and key metrics are fully understood and reported accurately.
The post holder will be expected to communicate with a broad range of audiences on the longevity and Finsol KPIs and so will require excellent communication skills and a professional and confident presence.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be exposed to a wide range of tasks including:
Performance analysis
Own the aggregation and analysis of quarterly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across Macro Markets for the longevity and Finsol product lines with active involvement in the landing process, quarterly finance memos and business planning exercises.
Improve the understanding, reporting of and accuracy of key metrics including New Business CSM, Risk Margin, Risk Adjustment, CSM and S&P Capital.
Review and critique the annual Experience Analysis produced by the longevity/Finsol teams across the portfolios and reconcile to other KPI as appropriate, as well as any specific ad-hoc analyses on the portfolios as part of performance reviews
Data
Assist the L&H Performance Team and broader Finance team in improving data quality
Communication, stakeholder management and change management:
Ensure that the finance view of performance is clearly communicated within finance and L&H
Promote the adoption of new Performance KPIs explaining the drivers and implications clearly to all stakeholders
Provide effective and timely communication of financial performance results to management
Communicate within Finance teams to ensure consistency of understanding and messages
Transformation and simplification
Responsible for simplifying and transforming relevant processes such that majority of time is devoted to analysis of results versus production of figures (80/20 split expected between analysis/production)
Contribute to development of tools within context of wider group developments and to adoption of available technology in order to maximise the efficiency of our processes.

5 years’ life insurance/pensions/reinsurance/consultancy experience

Understand the Financial aspects of Longevity/Finsol reinsurance, including collateral
Work within a pension/annuities office
Understanding of the regulatory reporting environment as well as Solvency II and IFRS17.
- Computer literacy with special focus on Microsoft Word (Advanced), PowerPoint (Advanced) and Excel (Expert – at least familiarity of pivot tables and macros)
- Other coding languages – e.g. Python, R – would be an advantage.
