Scopely is looking for a Senior Client Engineer to join our Stumble Guys) in either Dundee, Scotland or Barcelona, Spain, on a hybrid basis.

What You Will Do
- Working within the team to plan, execute and review solutions to deliver a best in class gameplay experience, with particular attention to console.
- This includes porting existing features from mobile, optimising them for consoles and adjusting core technologies where required to support all platforms.
- Partnering closely with designers, artists, and server engineers to develop technical solutions tailored for console platforms, while managing cross-discipline dependencies and ensuring platform compliance.
- Working with production to define and prioritise work to ensure we make the best use of the team’s resources
- Working with the technical director to evolve engineering best practices—such as optimization, memory management, and controller input schemes—specifically for console development, and ensuring effective adoption within the team.
- Proactively surfacing console-related challenges, technical risks, and toolchain issues to production and leadership to facilitate timely resolution.
- Writing and maintaining efficient, scalable, and cert-ready code, with a clear focus on performance and maintainability on console platforms.
What We’re Looking For
- Professional experience working within a multi-disciplinary game development team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality console titles.
- Solid understanding of console development workflows and tooling, including proficiency with Unity, Git, C# and platform-specific SDKs and debuggers (for Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo Console Platforms).
- Broad technical awareness enabling confident engagement across gameplay, networking, rendering, and platform integration, especially in the context of console-specific constraints.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, including both technical developers and non-technical stakeholders, in a console-oriented development environment.
- Proactive approach to identifying and addressing console-specific needs, supporting the team with platform best practices, and advocating for quality and performance throughout development.
