Scopely is seeking an experienced Lead Analyst / Finance Manager to join Product Finance in support of our LIVE Games Portfolio — a group of live-operated, top-grossing mobile games generating meaningful revenue for Scopely. This is a senior, high-visibility role for someone ready to operate as a true finance business partner: owning financial models end-to-end, driving KPI and performance reporting, and initiating the projects that shape how the portfolio is managed.
You will partner directly with General Managers and cross-functional stakeholders across game studios, User Acquisition, Data Science and Finance leadership, Accounting, and central teams. You will be a key voice in portfolio-level decision-making, translating data and models into clear recommendations for senior leadership. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, exhibit the highest personal and professional integrity, and work effectively with supervision while independently managing recurring monthly and quarterly deliverables.
Unlike an entry-level analyst role, this position calls for someone who can operate with a high degree of autonomy — identifying problems, initiating and leading projects, and managing senior stakeholders across the organization with minimal oversight, while still delivering the operational rigor (forecasting, close support, variance analysis) that keeps the portfolio running smoothly.
Why This Role Stands Out
- Strategic Ownership: Own end-to-end financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting for titles within the LIVE Games Portfolio, presenting directly to senior game and finance leadership.
- Stakeholder Leadership: Serve as the primary finance point of contact for a broad set of cross-functional partners — game GMs, UA, Data/BI, Accounting — building the trusted relationships that shape business decisions.
- Project Initiation: Identify opportunities and lead process improvement and automation projects — forecasting model redesigns, KPI dashboard builds, reporting infrastructure — from scoping through execution.
- Global Portfolio Exposure: Work across Scopely's live games portfolio from our Barcelona hub, collaborating daily with teams across the US, EMEA, and beyond.
- Top Talent Environment: Join a high-caliber team with backgrounds in consulting, banking, private equity, and high-growth tech from companies such as Amazon, Google, and Netflix.
- Career Trajectory: Senior individual contributors on this team have a clear path to Finance Manager / Senior Manager roles with expanding portfolio and people-leadership scope.
- Tech-Forward Finance: Be part of an AI-powered FP&A team, contributing to the automation of reporting and the build-out of predictive, self-serve tools.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 5+ years in FP&A, investment banking, consulting, or strong analytical roles, ideally with exposure to gaming, mobile apps, subscription, or consumer tech business models.
- Financial Modeling & Analytics: Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain complex revenue, UA, and cost models, and to translate large datasets into clear KPI narratives.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders across functions, build consensus, and influence decisions without direct authority.
- Project Leadership: A track record of scoping and driving cross-functional projects to completion, from process redesign to new reporting infrastructure.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of the KPIs that drive live-service/mobile games businesses (e.g., DAU/MAU, ARPDAU, LTV, ROAS, retention) and how they connect to financial performance.
- Tools: Familiarity with BI and data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and financial planning systems (e.g., Workday Adaptive Planning) strongly preferred; SQL is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to synthesize complex analysis into clear, concise recommendations for leadership.
- Location: Based in, or willing to relocate to, Barcelona, with the flexibility to collaborate across time zones with US and global teams.
- Passion: A genuine interest in games, consumer products, or technology-driven businesses.
