About the Role

Permanent, 14 hours a week at Scope’s Whitby shop (25 Baxtergate, Whitby, YO21 1BW). You will work alongside the Shop Manager to support shop operations, increase sales, manage costs and motivate the team. Successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in management of shop operations.
  • Collaborate with the Shop Manager to support, motivate, and involve a diverse team of paid employees and volunteers.
  • Actively promote Scope and its services within the community.
  • Support the shop manager to drive sales and manage stock, including online selling platform listings.
  • Help the team deliver excellent customer service.
  • Deputise for the shop manager in their absence.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a customer-facing role with responsibility for supervising or leading a team in retail or related service environment.
  • Experience working in a target-driven environment focused on achieving sales or performance goals.
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment.
  • Team player with a strong work ethic.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • IT literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
