We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and motivated senior sales manager to further establish Scope as the leading European rating agency in a dedicated European area. We offer a challenging position in which you will win new clients and maintain existing relationships, identify market potential and represent Scope towards your dedicated geographic markets to enable a gradual expansion of the brand.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Define target groups and future strategy for Scope Ratings in your dedicated geographic markets.
  • Win new clients and maintain existing relationships with companies, banks and public-sector organizations in your dedicated geographic markets.
  • Identify market potential and exploit business opportunities thanks to an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Communicate and manage relationships with financial intermediaries and arrangers of debt instruments.
  • Communicate with and support investors in debt instruments.
  • Represent Scope Ratings in front of important market players in your geographic area and enable the gradual expansion of the Scope Ratings brand.

Professional & personal qualifications

  • Several years of sales experience in the financial industry and established contacts with CFOs, IR Relations and Treasurers of leading European companies.
  • Knowledge of the structure of insurance companies and investment funds that invest in debt instruments.
  • Ability to grasp complex economic linkages quickly, explain these to third parties and inspire enthusiasm in clients for both you as a person and your ideas.
  • Have an entrepreneurial professional spirit, highly committed and possess a confident attitude.
  • Outstanding computer skills, particularly in MS Office.
  • Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and good at initiating, doing, delivering.
  • Willingness to travel to develop network and build relationships to understand client needs.
  • Energetic, motivated, outgoing personality.
  • Collaborative, versatile, inquisitive and detail-oriented self-starter with experience of working in an international environment.
  • Previous experience at a CRA can be an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree from an internationally recognized university in business administration, management or equivalent qualification with a focus on marketing, sales, finance, banking, economics, statistics or mathematics.
  • Business-level proficiency in English (written and oral). Additional European languages would be a clear advantage.

Compensation Range: The compensation range disclosed may encompass multiple title levels (Scope internal levels of seniority). Your actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to your individual experience, education, and seniority, and the final salary will be determined during the interview and evaluation process.
