The Role: The Senior People Officer will support the delivery of a simple, consistent and efficient global People Operations model across Rostro. The role will support the employee lifecycle across multiple jurisdictions, with a focus on HR systems, process improvement, payroll and benefits coordination, employee documentation, visa and mobility support, and accurate People data. This role is suited to someone who is hands-on and operationally strong, but also confident improving how things are done. The successful candidate will help reduce manual administration, improve data accuracy, strengthen compliance and ensure employees and managers receive a clear, professional and consistent People experience.
How you can make a difference:
- Employee lifecycle and People Operations: Support the employee lifecycle across relevant jurisdictions, including onboarding, local employment checks, contract administration, employee changes, probation tracking, leavers and offboarding. Own and coordinate agreed People Operations processes, ensuring activity is completed accurately, consistently and in line with local requirements. Prepare and issue employment contracts, contract amendments, letters and other employee documentation, ensuring appropriate approvals are in place. Act as a point of contact for employee and manager queries relating to People Operations processes. Work closely with internal teams to maintain clear handovers, avoid duplication and support a consistent employee experience.
- HR systems, data and process improvement: Maintain employee data in BambooHR, ensuring core fields are accurate, consistent and up to date. Support the creation and maintenance of workflows, forms, trackers and simple automations across BambooHR, Microsoft 365, JIRA and other relevant systems. Identify opportunities to reduce manual work, duplication, email chasing and avoidable administration. Maintain clear process documentation, checklists and workflows for core People Operations activities. Help improve People Operations processes so they are simple, consistent, practical and system-led where possible. Support reporting by ensuring People data is accurate, complete and fit for purpose.
- Payroll and benefits coordination: Support monthly payroll processes across relevant jurisdictions, ensuring employee changes are captured accurately and deadlines are met. Coordinate payroll inputs, including joiners, leavers, salary changes, bonuses, allowances, deductions and other employee changes. Liaise with payroll providers, Finance and internal stakeholders to resolve queries and support accurate processing. Support benefits administration and provider coordination, including enrolments, renewals, employee queries, invoice checks and maintaining accurate benefits records. Maintain clear records of payroll and benefits providers, processes, deadlines and ownership.
- Compliance, documentation and employee relations support: Ensure employee documentation is maintained accurately and stored appropriately. Support policy and process updates by ensuring operational processes align with agreed policy requirements and local employment requirements. Assist with audits, data checks and compliance reviews as required. Escalate risks, gaps or inconsistencies in a timely and practical way. Provide administrative and coordination support for employee relations processes, including meeting arrangements, note-taking, document preparation and confidential case record management where required.
- Visa, immigration and mobility support: Coordinate People Operations input into visa, immigration and global mobility processes. Work with Office Managers, Legal and external providers to ensure clear ownership, accurate documentation and timely completion. Support visa-related onboarding, renewals, cancellations and employee changes where required. Maintain clear trackers and process documentation for immigration and mobility activity.
- Vendor and stakeholder coordination: Support vendor coordination, including maintaining accurate records of provider contacts, processes, deadlines, renewal dates and ownership. Liaise with payroll, benefits, immigration, HR systems and other People-related providers as required. Work with Finance, Legal, Office Managers and other internal teams to ensure People Operations activity is managed effectively. Help identify opportunities to simplify provider management, reduce duplication and improve service delivery.
Requirements:
- Essential: Experience in a People Operations, HR Operations, or HR Generalist role. Experience supporting employee lifecycle processes across one or more jurisdictions. Experience supporting payroll inputs, employee changes, and benefits administration. Strong HR systems experience, ideally with BambooHR or a similar HRIS.
- Desirable: Experience supporting HR processes across multiple jurisdictions. Exposure to global payroll, benefits, immigration, or mobility processes. Experience supporting process improvement, system implementation, or HRIS optimization projects. Experience supporting employee relations administration or case coordination. Greek language skills would be an advantage.

- Essential: Confident working with employee data and maintaining accurate records. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple processes, deadlines, and stakeholders. Good attention to detail and a practical approach to problem solving. Comfortable creating or improving process documentation, checklists, trackers, and workflows. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Desirable: Experience using Microsoft 365, JIRA, forms, workflows, or simple automation tools. Understanding of employee lifecycle reporting and people data standards.
