The Role: The Institutional Business Development Associate is responsible for identifying, qualifying and warming up prospective institutional clients for senior salespeople to close. You will research target accounts, source contacts, run direct outreach across email, LinkedIn and phone, and generate qualified introductions for the wider institutional sales team. We are looking for commercially driven graduates who are comfortable with outbound activity and want to build a career in institutional financial markets sales.
How You Can Make a Difference:
- Build target lists of prospective institutional clients across brokers, prop firms, hedge funds, family offices, professional traders and other relevant counterparties.
- Research firms, decision-makers, trading set-ups and likely product fit across Scope Prime’s three pillars.
- Run outbound outreach via LinkedIn, email and phone to generate qualified interest.
- Qualify prospects and book introductory calls for senior salespeople.
- Maintain clean CRM records, outreach tracking and pipeline hygiene.
- Work closely with senior sales to refine target lists, outreach angles and campaign focus.
- Support lead generation for both new hires and the existing institutional sales team.
- Hit weekly KPIs of 25 qualified warm leads and 5 held meetings, subject to agreed lead-quality criteria.
- Learn the fundamentals of digital assets liquidity, DMA equities / prime brokerage, and futures & options.
- Learn how to use, sell and talk about all platforms and tech offered.
Requirements:
- Strong graduate or early-career candidate with clear commercial drive.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Confident on the phone and comfortable with cold outreach.
- Strong research skills and high attention to detail.
- Organised, proactive and resilient.
- Genuine interest in financial markets, trading or institutional sales.
- Able to work at pace and handle repetitive outbound activity with discipline.
- Experience in internships, recruitment, lead generation, telesales, brokerage, fintech or B2B outreach is a plus.
- Additional languages are useful, especially Arabic, Mandarin or another commercially relevant language.
