We are recruiting for an experienced Voice Engineer to join a large-scale enterprise environment, supporting and maintaining a global voice infrastructure with a strong focus on Microsoft Teams Voice and enterprise telephony.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a background in Microsoft Teams Phone, Cisco Voice and SIP/VoIP technologies who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment, troubleshooting complex voice issues and collaborating with global support teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide operational support for Microsoft Teams Voice and enterprise telephony platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex voice, SIP and interoperability issues across Cisco and Microsoft Teams environments.
- Support core voice services including Session Border Controllers (SBCs), carrier connectivity and enterprise telephony.
- Investigate and resolve incidents, working closely with infrastructure, network and carrier support teams.
- Participate in change management, problem management and major incident activities.
- Monitor service performance and proactively identify opportunities for service improvement.
- Engage with Microsoft support where required, managing escalations through to resolution.
- Produce clear technical documentation and communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 5+ years' experience supporting enterprise Voice or Unified Communications environments.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Teams Voice/Teams Phone.
- Experience supporting Cisco Voice/CUCM environments.
- Knowledge of Ribbon SBC or other Session Border Controllers.
- Experience with Direct Routing and enterprise telephony.
- Strong understanding of SIP, VoIP and carrier connectivity.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Admin Centre, Teams Admin Centre and Microsoft Entra.
- Experience with Call Analytics, Call Quality Dashboard (CQD) and Quality of Experience reporting.
- PowerShell Scripting and Microsoft Graph API experience.
- Experience using ServiceNow and/or Remedy.
- Strong incident, problem and change management experience within a production environment.
Desirable
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate.
- Experience with Splunk and ThousandEyes.
- Experience supporting Contact Centre technologies.
- Previous experience within a large enterprise or financial services environment.
