This role is ideal for someone who already has hands-on experience working with load balancers and/or Proxy technologies (such as F5 BIG-IP, McAfee, Skyhigh, Blue Coat, or similar), and is ready to step into a fast-paced enterprise environment where you can further deepen your expertise.
You will:

Our EMEA Network Engineering team is responsible for delivering load balancing, Proxy, and secure access services across the enterprise network. The team supports project delivery, application onboarding, and service life cycle management.
We work with technologies like F5 BIG-IP (LTM/GTM), Skyhigh, SSL offloading, and automation tools. You'll join a knowledgeable, supportive team and contribute to both network changes and new service rollouts.
Core Skills & Experience
Required:
- Hands-on experience supporting or configuring load balancers (eg F5 LTM/GTM, AVI Networks) or Proxy platforms (eg McAfee, Skyhigh, Blue Coat)
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP/S, SSL certificates, NAT, DNS, and Layer 7 protocols
- Comfort using CLI and GUI interfaces for network appliance configuration
- Prior experience supporting network changes and/or troubleshooting connectivity issues
- Familiarity with enterprise ticketing systems and structured change processes
- Ability to document work clearly and communicate with stakeholders
- A proactive, logical thinker who can work independently in a project-driven environment
Preferred:
- Experience writing or editing iRules, health monitors, or similar load balancing policies
- Awareness of certificate management, TLS handshake flow, and debugging tools (Wireshark, Fiddler)
- Experience with network segmentation, DMZ environments, or application onboarding
- Interest or experience with network automation tools (eg Python, Ansible)
- Exposure to service onboarding or migration projects in a medium-to-large enterprise
Contract Role inside IR35 – initial 12 month contract – 3 days a week in office (candidate can be based near Manchester/Liverpool/Stoke/Birmingham)
