ScoMac Catering Equipment Ltd is one of the largest independent commercial catering manufacturers/suppliers within the U.K, with a history spanning over 120 years. We are looking to recruit an experienced Press Brake Punch Operator to join our team.

Role Overview:

Reporting to the Senior Production Manager, this role is responsible for operating an Amada CNC Press Brake machine and also operating the Trumpf Punch Machine. Other duties involved in the role include:

  • Adjusting and loading tools as required to perform correct folds and bends to produce a variety of mild and stainless-steel components.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • The setup, maintenance, and operation of the CNC punch press.
  • The sharpening of punch related tooling using a semi-automated tool sharpener.
  • Maintaining and ensuring equipment is safe, clean, and in good working order.
  • The breaking out and de-burring of punched parts for further processing.
  • Ensuring work areas are kept clean and tidy, adhering to Health and Safety procedures and policies at all times.
  • Assisting with any other tasks as required in line with business needs and within your skill set and experience.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Experience in operating and setting press brake machines.
  • Knowledge and experience using Amada CNC machines.
  • Knowledge and experience of using Trumpf Punch machines.
  • Good communication, organisational, and numeracy skills.
  • Ability to work within a team or on your own.
  • A can-do attitude.
  • Attention to detail and quality.
