Hours: 35 hours per week, with occasional evening and weekend work

The Opportunity
We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Operations Administrator Apprentice to join our Football Operations Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience within football administration while working towards an apprenticeship qualification.
You’ll play an important role in supporting football operations across Hampshire, helping to deliver excellent customer service, support safeguarding processes, maintain FA systems and assist with competitions, clubs and referee administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of The FA's Safeguarding 365 Operating Standard.
- Provide professional and efficient customer service to clubs, leagues, referees and stakeholders.
- Assist with the administration of County Cup competitions and finals.
- Support player registration enquiries and club affiliation renewals through the Platform for Football (PFF).
- Maintain accurate records across FA administration systems.
- Assist with referee administration, including course bookings and venue coordination.
- Support safeguarding administration and casework monitoring processes.
- Assist with invoicing and finance administration activities.
- Promote and support the use of FA technology systems.
- Provide general administrative support to the Football Operations Team.
- Complete apprenticeship learning and development activities and apply learning in the workplace.

- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage confidential information appropriately.
- Willingness to learn new systems and processes.
- GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above, where required for the apprenticeship).
- Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion.
Desirable
- Previous administration, customer service or volunteer experience.
- An interest in grassroots football.
- Understanding of The FA and the grassroots football landscape.
- Knowledge of safeguarding principles.
- Experience dealing with challenging situations professionally.
