We are currently seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Junior Electrical Project Engineer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a background or formal training in electrical engineering who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and forward‑thinking organisation. Based at our Head Office in Godalming, this permanent, full‑time role will involve supporting the electrical engineering team in the development and delivery of electrical engineering projects across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and life sciences sectors. The successful candidate will gain valuable hands‑on experience working alongside experienced engineers on technically challenging and highly regulated projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting Senior Engineers with the development and execution of electrical engineering activities.
  • Supporting the design and development of LV electrical distribution systems, power systems, and lighting systems.
  • Assisting with electrical system, commissioning, and installation activities.
  • Supporting interface activities across electrical, automation and data/IT systems.
  • Maintaining and delivering project documentation, including technical deliverables, specifications, schedules, registers, and reports.
  • Contributing to project reviews covering cost, programme, progress, quality, compliance, and constructability.
  • Ensuring adherence to safety, cost, programme, and quality requirements.
  • Complying with company QA, H&S, and engineering standards.

Desirable Electrical Experience

  • Fundamental understanding of electrical LV distribution systems and IT networks.
  • Knowledge of power and lighting system design.
  • Experience with electrical design tools such as Amtech or Relux/Dialux.
  • Understanding of electrical design, installation, and commissioning activities.
  • IT proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to produce accurate and concise technical documentation and schedules.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Awareness of time, cost, quality, and relationship management principles.
  • A clear enthusiasm to develop a career in electrical engineering.
