We are a long established and well-respected IT maintenance, repair and installation company. We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our friendly team offering on-site and remote assistance to our valued customers to meet increasing demand for our range of services. We are one of the leading IT support companies in Lincoln, serving clients predominantly in the East Midlands and we specialise in providing tailored communication and information technology solutions to help our customers achieve their business objectives. A vacancy has arisen within our business for an IT Support Technician, working 9am-5pm Monday-Friday. This role will be primarily desk based at our offices in Dunholme - LN2 3QY - although there will be some on site work. A company vehicle is available for use within work hours and salary is negotiable and dependent on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Answer telephone support calls and e-mails.
  • Accurately record, update and document requests using our internal help-desk system.
  • Install and configure new IT equipment both within our workshop and at our customer’s premises.
  • Provide technical assistance with our hosted telephony and traditional PBX telephone systems (training can be given).
  • Provide support and assistance to clients on our web hosting platform, to also include domain names and SSL certificates (training can be given).
  • Resolve support incidents and upgrade different types of software and hardware.
  • Provide support with Microsoft Office 365.
  • Maintain a first-class level of customer service ensuring that all customers are treated efficiently and in an appropriate manner.
  • Maintain excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Be a highly motivated team player with the skills and ability to manage changing priorities.
  • Be willing to attend internal and external training as necessary to keep up to date with the latest technology and internal system processes.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience of supporting Windows Server (2012 to 2022) with good working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience of providing support for Microsoft based software including Office 365, Windows (10 and 11) and Office.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience of networking including VPNs and firewalls.
  • An ability to work through a mixture of simple and more complex problems from start to finish.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Be able to pass enhanced background checks.
  • Good knowledge of all Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems.
  • Good knowledge of networking technologies including routing, firewalls, and wireless appliances.
  • An understanding and knowledge of domain names and Linux/Windows based website hosting servers (desirable but not essential).
  • An understanding and knowledge of telephone systems and structured cabling installation (desirable).
