SciPro has partnered with a series A clinical stage biotech who is looking for a Head of Operations to join their executive team (VP or SVP level) who has a previous track record of scaling operations quickly from early-stage R&D to late-stage clinical trials while maintaining high standards. They are looking for someone to lead and manage day-to-day business operations, ensuring fast, efficient execution across teams and seamless collaboration with external partners (e.g., legal, vendors).
Responsibilities include:
- Drive the scaling of operations from pre-IND to clinical stages.
- Provide the operational backbone for rapid clinical trial execution, regulatory approvals, and accelerated product development.
- Lead contract negotiations with CROs, CDMOs, and key service providers, optimizing for speed, cost, quality, and timelines.
- Oversee vendor selection, performance management, and strategic partnerships to ensure high-quality execution at scale.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance tracking, ensuring swift response to changing business needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive leadership in business operations - experience overseeing multiple operational functions.
- A minimum of 5 years in biotech / pharma - understanding industry regulations, clinical trials, and development and manufacturing related activities.
