SCINERGY Recruitment are recruiting for an Environmental Lead to support a portfolio of Energy from Waste facilities across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on environmental professional to take a key regional role within a highly regulated, compliance-led energy recovery environment.

As the Environmental Lead, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring environmental systems, procedures and systems of work across your region. You will support compliance with environmental permits, licences and relevant management systems, helping sites maintain best practice and avoid environmental incidents or permit non-compliance. You will provide environmental leadership, support productivity across the plants and help embed a no-compromise approach to environmental compliance.

The role will involve:

  • Managing and monitoring environmental systems, procedures and systems of work at regional level
  • Maintaining compliance with environmental permits, licences and management systems
  • Monitoring environmental performance, reporting and compliance to ensure best practice
  • Supporting permitted and regulated activities
