SCINERGY Recruitment are recruiting for an EC&I Technician to join the maintenance team at a renewable energy power station near Attleborough in Norfolk. This role focuses on delivering safe, reliable electrical, control and instrumentation maintenance across the plant, supporting availability, efficiency and long-term asset integrity. You will work closely with operations, mechanical and engineering teams to keep the plant running safely and efficiently.
The role will involve:
- Planned and reactive maintenance of electrical, control and instrumentation systems
- Fault-finding, diagnosis and repair of instrumentation, control panels, motors, switchgear and field devices
- Supporting maintenance of DCS / HMI, SCADA and plant control systems
- Instrument calibration, testing and verification (including safety critical devices)
- Supporting CEMS, emissions monitoring and compliance systems
- Managing and updating maintenance activities within the CMMS
- Supervising specialist contractors and reviewing RAMS
- Supporting outages, shutdowns and plant modifications
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety, environmental compliance and housekeeping
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A recognised EC&I or electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3 / ONC / C&G or equivalent)
- Experience within an industrial or process environment such as biomass, power generation, CHP or EfW
- Strong hands-on experience with fault-finding, maintenance and calibration of EC&I systems
- Understanding of permit-to-work, isolation and safe systems of work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary site team
