SCINERGY Recruitment are recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Team Leader to join the leadership team at Rye House Power Station, a modern CCGT power station based in Hertfordshire. This is a key site-based leadership role, responsible for leading the Mechanical Maintenance Team and supporting the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the facility.

The successful candidate will play a central role in delivering the site's mechanical maintenance strategy, supporting outages, managing contractors, developing the team and driving long-term maintenance improvements across the plant.

The role will involve:

  • Leading the Mechanical Maintenance Team to deliver safe and effective maintenance across the site
  • Supporting the development and implementation of the mechanical maintenance strategy
  • Leading mechanical breakdown response, planned shutdowns, outages and major overhaul activities
  • Preparing mechanical work scopes and resource plans for outage periods
  • Ensuring outage work is delivered safely, on time and within budget
  • Providing direct supervision of mechanical work activities and contractor teams
  • Managing technical specifications, support contracts and contractor performance
  • Developing action plans to improve maintenance delivery and asset performance
  • Coaching and providing technical guidance
