Field Service Engine Technician Bedford, Milton Keynes, Northampton & Hertfordshire £37,000 - £45,000 Basic + Company Van + £6,000 bonus Monday - Friday (Days) SCINERGY Recruitment are supporting a leading business within the green energy sector in the search for a Field Service Engine Technician to join their regional maintenance team, supporting a portfolio of engine-based power generation sites across Bedford, Milton Keynes, Northampton & Hertfordshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for mechanics, technicians or engineers with engine or generator maintenance experience gained within Power Generation, HGV, Automotive, Plant, Marine or the Armed Forces.

Full product training will be provided.

The Role Carry out planned preventative maintenance and routine servicing on gas engine power generation equipment.

Diagnose and repair mechanical faults, with basic electrical fault finding where required.

Assist with engine overhauls, major maintenance activities and planned shutdowns.

Attend reactive breakdowns and restore equipment to service safely and efficiently.

Complete maintenance reports and update work records accurately.

Maintain van stock, tools and spare parts.

Travel between multiple customer sites across the region.

Work safely in line with company health & safety procedures and permit systems.

Participate in a paid out-of-hours call-out rota About You Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent).

Hands-on experience maintaining engines, generators or similar mechanical equipment.

Experience from Power Generation, HGV, Automotive, Plant, Marine or Armed Forces backgrounds.

Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Full UK driving licence.

Willingness to travel throughout the region.
