Compliance & Safety Manager - Power Generation
£50,000 - £59,000 + 10% bonus + benefits

SCINERGY Recruitment are recruiting for a Compliance & Safety Manager to join a large Energy from Waste facility in Runcorn, Cheshire.
Responsibilities
- Managing and monitoring site safety systems, procedures and safe systems of work (SSOW)
- Ensuring compliance with environmental permits and licences, including interpretation of emissions data
- Developing and maintaining working plans, audits and compliance programmes
- Managing risk assessments, method statements and H&S documentation
- Investigating accidents, incidents and near misses, implementing corrective and preventative actions
- Advising site leadership on potential safety, environmental and compliance risks
- Ensuring compliance with industry regulations including PUWER, LOLER, COSHH and PSSR
- Liaising with external bodies such as the Environment Agency and local authorities
Qualifications
- Experience gained in a similar role from Energy from Waste, power generation or a highly regulated process environment
- A NEBOSH qualification as a minimum
- Experience working with permitted and regulated activities, preferably within a controlled emissions environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to embed a safety and compliance focused culture
- Knowledge and experience of Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS)
- Awareness of relevant standards including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001
