A leading industrial organisation is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support the safe, reliable operation of a busy gas storage and processing facility. This role focuses on mechanical maintenance, fault-finding and ensuring plant availability across rotating equipment and associated systems.
The Role:
- Planned and reactive mechanical maintenance on pumps, valves, motors, compressors and associated plant
- Routine servicing in line with manufacturer and site maintenance requirements
- Supporting maintenance activities on gas compressors and turbines to minimise downtime
- Carrying out equipment isolations and permit-controlled work
- Updating CMMS work orders and maintenance records
- Assisting with installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Working alongside specialist vendors and supervising contractors on site
- Supporting out-of-hours call-outs where required (paid at enhanced rates)
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and site safety
What You’ll Need:
- Strong mechanical maintenance background in a heavy process environment (power, chemical, steel, paper). Marine Engineers from the Navy are also considered
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, with a completed mechanical apprenticeship
- Experience in an industrial environment
