A leading industrial organisation is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support the safe, reliable operation of a busy gas storage and processing facility. This role focuses on mechanical maintenance, fault-finding and ensuring plant availability across rotating equipment and associated systems.

The Role:

  • Planned and reactive mechanical maintenance on pumps, valves, motors, compressors and associated plant
  • Routine servicing in line with manufacturer and site maintenance requirements
  • Supporting maintenance activities on gas compressors and turbines to minimise downtime
  • Carrying out equipment isolations and permit-controlled work
  • Updating CMMS work orders and maintenance records
  • Assisting with installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Working alongside specialist vendors and supervising contractors on site
  • Supporting out-of-hours call-outs where required (paid at enhanced rates)
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and site safety

What You’ll Need:

  • Strong mechanical maintenance background in a heavy process environment (power, chemical, steel, paper). Marine Engineers from the Navy are also considered
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, with a completed mechanical apprenticeship
  • Experience in an industrial environment
