SCINERGY Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Field Services Engineering Manager to join a leading business within the renewable energy sector, supporting a fleet of gas engine power generation assets across the South East region. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering leader with a strong mechanical or electrical background to manage a field-based engineering team responsible for the operation and maintenance of gas engine, power generation, battery storage and renewable energy assets.

The Role

  • Driving site reliability, availability and operational performance across renewable energy assets
  • Ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently and to a high technical standard
  • Providing technical support and overseeing fault finding, diagnostics and breakdown response activities
  • Monitoring equipment performance through SCADA and other operational systems to identify potential issues early
  • Raising and managing maintenance work orders through CMMS systems
  • Supporting operational budgeting, cost control and performance improvement initiatives
  • Working closely with internal departments, contractors, site operators and regulatory bodies
  • Conducting regular site audits and maintaining high HSQE standards across all operations
  • Managing engineering stock, tooling, vehicles and contractor performance
  • Supporting the training, development and mentoring of engineering staff
  • Participating in a phone support callout rota

About You

  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background level 3 or higher
  • Previous experience leading engineering teams within a field service or industrial environment
  • Good understanding of maintenance operations, fault finding and performance monitoring systems
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Health & Safety conscious with a proactive approach to safe working
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex & Kent
