Industrial Maintenance Electrician – Renewable Energy Sector South East Region, Bedford, Milton Keynes, Hertfordshire, Essex and Kent Circa £45,000 + bonus + company van + benefits
SCINERGY Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Industrial Maintenance Electrician to join a leading renewable energy business supporting operational sites across the South East region covering Bedford, Milton Keynes, Hertfordshire, Essex and Kent. Our client operates a portfolio of low‑carbon energy assets including gas‑to‑power, solar and battery storage facilities, helping to support the UK's transition towards cleaner energy generation.
The Industrial Maintenance Electrician will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance activities across multiple sites, ensuring maximum plant availability, reliability and safety.
Responsibilities- Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across renewable energy sites
- Diagnosing faults and repairing electrical systems and plant equipment
- Working on HV/LV systems including switchgear, transformers and generators
- Supporting safe isolation and disconnection activities during maintenance and rebuild work
- Supervising and coordinating third‑party contractors on site
- Completing maintenance reports and associated maintenance documentation
- Identifying opportunities to improve plant reliability and operational efficiency
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures and legislation
- Supporting regional and national engineering teams when required
- NVQ Level 3, ONC/HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering
- Experience within industrial electrical maintenance
- Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic experience
- The ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- Knowledge of BS7671 and 18th Edition regulations is desirable but not essential
- Experience working within a heavy process or industrial environment would be advantageous
- A flexible and hands‑on approach to field‑based work
- A full UK driving licence
